The students will work with MANY different strategies this year in math. Basic long division is a process all students should be very comfortable using. Parents can feel comfortable helping with the "old" method because the process has not changed. We don't have homework in math, but practicing long division with your student would be very helpful! Students should master this skill to be proficient at fifth grade math.
